Dioctyl adipate (DOA) is an excellent cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, which gives products excellent low-temperature flexibility, and has certain light-heat stability and water resistance. In plastisol, the initial viscosity is low and the viscosity stability is good. Commonly used with DOP and other main plasticizers and used in cold-resistant agricultural films, wires, sheets, artificial leather, outdoor water pipes and frozen food packaging films. It can also be used as a low-temperature plasticizer for many synthetic rubbers and as a plasticizer for resins such as nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose.
